Our family owned vineyard was established in 1998 amongst
80 acres ofrural grazing land with plantings of Chardonnay
(1.5 acres) and Pinot Noir (2.5acres). The first commercial,
handpicked crop for the Yeowarra Hill label was picked in 2006.

From the beginning we have endeavoured to produce quality wines by taking advantage of the verdant ground and fertile soil that gives the area a rich agricultural history.

Our wines are produced from fruit grown solely in our vineyard, pruned to achieve excellent quality fruit in low yields.
The handpicked crop is made in small quantities in an attempt to reflect the elegant complexities & varietal character of the cool climate of our region. The quality fruit is further enhanced by the expertise of winemaker Lee Evans, Kurabana Estate.

The dedication to excellence in the vineyard and meticulous care and attention produced immediate results with our first vintage (2006) Chardonnay being awarded a medal at the 2007 Geelong Wine Show. With the 2007 Chardonnay backing up with a medal in the following year.

The James Halliday Australian Wine Companion ‘highly recommended’ the chardonnay saying it had great quality style and character, worthy of a place in any cellar.

Yeowarra Hill wines are available to taste (by appointment) and purchase from our cellar door with most of our limited release wine being consumed through our on-site function centre. Limited distribution to restaurants & private cellars has also been established, with further distribution planned throughout 2009.
